Trouble Shooting

We've added below our main trouble shooting queries. If there is anything you'd like to see, please email us on info@ourlittlecherubs.co.uk

Washing Nappies

Start by emptying your dirty nappies into the machine. (Mine was a bit full so I took some out by hand) - if you use a mesh bag, this can go straight into the machine without needing to handle the nappies.

You can bulk the wash load out more by adding other items that you do not use fabric softener on. Loads should be 3/4 full when wet.

For the pre-wash cycle, you will need half of your normal amount of detergent. The cycle should be on 40 degrees and for 45-60 minutes.

For the main wash cycle, you will need your full amount of detergent. This cycle should be a long cycle - we recommend anywhere between 2.5 - 3 hours and between 40-60 degrees. A cotton cycle is usually the longest on most machines.

Drying Nappies

Once the main wash is complete, you can empty your wash load and prepare to dry.

Here I like to sort my nappies into piles for ease -

  • Shells

  • Inserts

  • Muslins

  • Other clothing

  • Reusable Wipes

  • Wet Bags

To dry your nappies, we recommend air drying - do not tumble dry, this can damage the PUL and elastics.

If you have a "socktopus", these are amazing and so handy for drying nappies.

As you can see, none of the nappies in my wash come out with any stains.

If you are still stuck, or experiencing stains, please feel free to email us on info@ourlittlecherubs.co.uk where we will do our best to advise.
