FAQ
General
Our nappies are made from a waterproof outer layer called PUL (polyurethane laminated polyester), then lined with a bamboo terry fleece.
All of our BTP nappies come with 2 x 3 layer bamboo/terry mix boosters.
Our nappies are OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified, so you can be assured that there are no horrible chemicals near your babies precious skin.
All you need to use cloth nappies is your baby, and the cloth nappy itself. You can however buy extra boosters, or a wet bag to store the nappies in either at home in between washes, or whilst out and about. Our wet bags are double zipped, allowing for a dry pocket for clean nappies, and a wet pocket for dirty nappies.
Nappy creams create a barrier between your babies skin and the nappy itself, this can affect the absorbency of the nappy. If you need to use nappy cream, then place a disposable liner in between your baby and the nappy. However, you may find that by using cloth nappies, you may not need to use nappy cream at all/ as much, this is because cloth nappies are softer on the skin and do not contain any plastics/ chemicals like a disposable nappy would.
Before you start weaning your baby, you can just put the nappy straight into a wet bag, then into the washing machine on your wash day. After you have started weaning, you can either use a disposable liner to catch the poo or use normal boosters and simply plop the poo down the toilet and flush. If you decide to use disposable liners, please remember these cannot be flushed down the toilet.
